AN: In this imagine Leon is around 19/20 years old since it's based on him studying for the police academy.

"I can't believe our final exam is tomorrow, aren't you worried?" I ask my newly boyfriend Leon as we walk hand in hand across the police academy field towards the library building.

Leon shakes his head, smiling warmly down at me like a ray of sunshine despite the light spit of rain coming down on us. "Nah," he says so confidently, "I'm sure it'll be fine. I mean, we're studying for it, so at least we'll be well prepared."

I roll my eyes, hating, but not really hating, the way he's so optimistic about practically everything. We reach the library in no time, and my shoulders relax when I see that the place is practically empty. I look to Leon, and we both shruh before beelining it to the back, where we can concentrate better. I sling my bag off of my shoulder, setting it down as I pull out at least five books I brought with me. Leon chuckles, only grabbing a notebook from his bag.

"Seriously? It's okay, you can share my books." I huff, but Leon shakes his head and opens his notebook to show me the most detailed notes I've ever seen in my life. My mouth drops open as I flick through pages and pages of well organised information, it's so perfect.

"We can both read through this together if you want? It'll save time rather than flicking from one chapter to the next in all those." Leon nods at my stack of books, sitting down as I nod and pull a chair next to his.

"That'd be great, thank you." I reply, then soon enough we begin reading together. At first it's easy because I'm so worried about the exam that I'm desperate to soak up the revision, but after twenty minutes I'm getting lost in the scent of Leon's cologne and the way his hair looks so soft in the dim lighting of the library. I keep staring, then forcing my eyes down when his blue eyes meet mine.

The rain outside doesn't help either, I'm warm and cosy, sat next to a human heater and surrounded by books; I only need a blanket and I could see myself having a long, long nap in here.

"Can I turn the page?" Leon's question stirs me out of my thoughts. I realise I've been staring at the same sentence for the last few minutes daydreaming. I nod, but Leon doesn't move, instead he raises his brows in a teasing way and leans back.

"Really? Because you've been stuck on the same sentence for the last two minutes. Unless you're really taking it in?' He emphasises.

I shake my head, letting a sigh escape my lips. "No, I'm just...I can't concentrate, which basically means I'm going to fail and stay here whilst you get to graduate and join the force."

Leon's smile turns down, "Hey," his hand closes over the top of mine on the table, "don't say that. You've aced all the exams so far, don't doubt yourself. I believe in you, and I know you'll do great, probably better than I will."

I let my head rest on his shoulder, no longer in the mood to study, not that I was to begin with. "I don't know if I can study tonight, maybe I should wake up early-"

"Here," Leon reaches into his bag and pulls out a pair of headphones along with an MP3 player, "music sometimes helps me concentrate, maybe it'll help you?"

I stare at the offering, then nod, putting one headphone into my ear as Leon uses the second. "I've never tried before, but even if if doesn't work at least I won't get bored." I lightly reply with a smile as Leon loads up a song.

Something I've heard before begins playing, but I don't know the words. I begin reading the notebook again as Leon waits for me to finish the page, then soon enough I'm knee deep in law and protocol. I don't know how much time passes, but eventually Leon pauses the music and leans back in his chair, stretching his arms above his head. It's now dark outside, and we're near the end of the book.

"Wow, I can't believe it." I mumble, my smile widening. Leon grins, leaning over and kissing my cheek before grabbing a pack of M&Ms from his bag, opening them he passes me a handful and we snack.

"Are you feeling a little more confident now?" He asks.

"Yeah, I think I might actually pass the exam now." I laugh. Leon closes his notebook, then looks at his watch. We pack up our things and Leon walks me to my dorm, wishing me good luck for tomorrow since we'll be in different exam rooms.

The next day I'm full of nerves, but I do all the things that help me keep calm and I complete the exam, immediately meeting with Leon after to talk about it. We spend that evening cuddled together in his room eating junk food and watching cheesy movies, then the next day our marks are released.

Leon's arm is around my waist as he guides me around the crowd gathered around the desk. Our teacher hands out our results in envelopes, and there are people laughing and crying around us. It's off-putting, and Leon can tell I'm nervous, so he lets me wait at the back of the class as he collects our envelopes for us, the teacher quickly giving me a thumbs up just to check my permission.

When Leon comes back, I hear someone sobbing about failing, so he leads me outside until we're far enough away. Sitting on the grass on the field, he takes my hands in his. "Whatever result you got, I'm proud of you."

"You too. Seriously Leon, you've worked so hard for this, I really hope you've passed."

"On the count of three?" He suggests. I nod, taking deep breaths until the countdown. I practically rip open my paper, eyes widening...

I passed!

I look over to see Leon with a hand over his mouth, I can't gouge his reaction. Hesitantly I take his paper from him, panicking until I see he passed too. He didn't only pass, he got 99%!

"Oh my God! That's amazing!" I cheer, tackling him to the grass as his arms wrap around me. We both laugh, squeezing and kissing each other with joy until we sit up, with me between his legs and his arms encircling me. "Where are you going to apply to?"

"I was thinking Raccoon City? It just seems like a good place to start." Leon softly says, his voice laced with hope and happiness.

I nod, tangling our fingers together. "Then to Raccoon City we'll go. You'll be the best cop, and I can start training to be with the K9 unit." I smile, leaning back against Leon's chest with so many dreams for the future.
