Narrator's POV

Dean looked over at Bayley as she climbed into the ring, a massive smile on her face. He had never quite understood her, her character. Was it really all just an act? She had the reaction everyone always dreamed of, a bigger one then Dean. It wasn't to be said he hated Bayley, but there was something for sure.

People had to admit they were probably the weirdest tag team you could see in professional wrestling, but what choice did Dean have? He would never admit it but deep down he as jealous of Bayley, love the she received from the fans, the reaction she got by even taking a step forwards.

"I'm sorry Hunter but I can't take it no more, I need to go singles again." Dean leaned over across the desk of one of the main bosses, demanding his separation from Bayley. They were polar opposites, two completely different people and he couldn't take it anymore.

"Usually we wouldn't do this, but the two of you are so good individually then fine. If this is really what you want, and it is a shame, then from now you will have no affiliation with Bayley." Dean smiled as Bayley, completely unaware of what Dean was planning, skipped around the arena.

She loved wrestling with Dean, he had so many little things about him that made him such an intriguing individual that she had become so interested in. She could never see it working, just like Dean, but she thought they clicked and had a great connection with each other in the ring.

After his decision earlier Dean had been placed in a match against Rusev. He walked out to the ring as Bayley sat backstage with Sasha. "I don't understand, Lana is out there, so why aren't I?" She had been left clueless, no information given.

"I don't babe, I'm sure there is a great explanation." Bayley wasn't satisfied, disheartened that she might be missing out on a great opportunity. She walked out of the room, and headed down to the office. She knocked once as Hunter beckoned her to entire.

"Hunter, why aren't I out there?" Hunter looked up sighing, disappointed that Dean hadn't mentioned the events to her.

"The thing is, Ambrose has decided he no longer wants to work with you and has gone back to being a complete individual." Bayley's usual ecstatic expression changed to one of completely sadness. She had been blinded by Dean and his emotions, too wrapped in these crazy emotions to realise.

"I see," she muttered waking out quickly.

Meanwhile in the ring Dean couldn't help but feel a twang of pain as he stood back and witnessed Rusev and Lana together. Of course he shouldn't have the slightest bit of interest, but he couldn't help but miss Bayley's presence. She bought so much happiness to his time at the ring, and the atmosphere just wasn't the same without her. Everything fell flat as he grabbed Rusev and hit him with the Dirty Deeds. The crowd cheered, but not like they did before, as he slid out of the ring.

He walked up the ramp hitting the hands of the fans when a little girl dressed up in her Bayley shirt pulled her hand away as a sign of her disapproval that she wasn't by his side. As he watched the little hand move away everything finally felt complete. Dean didn't admit things, he didn't show his emotions, but this was Bayley.

Dean ran back around the curtain, hunting down his former tag team partner. He looked all over, asking anyone in sight where she was. He knew that he had to right his wrongs, something he so rarely did.

Eventually he found her sat on one of the crates in the corridor. H slowed down, tentatively walking over and sitting beside her. She looked up at who it was then looked back down after realising it was Dean. "I'm sorry," he blurted out, knowing it was the only thing he could really say to even try and make the situation better.
"For what?" Bayley wasn't satisfied, she knew there was more to it, and she wasn't going to let him get away with it that easily.

"Abandoning you. I thought this team wasn't working but then earlier when I went out by myself it didn't feel right. I needed you by my side like the bright sunshine to make a dark day better." Bayley's corners of her mouth slowly turned up into a bit of a smile. She still had so much anger inside of her, gutted that Dean had decided to do such a thing in the first place.

"It really upset me to think you didn't want me with you. I had such a blast with you at the ring. We may be completely dissimilar but there is something about that I feel works so well." Dean sighed, as Bayley's words made him feel more and more guilty. He deserved it though, and completely knew it.

"I know that now. I want to correct things, and have you at the ring with me again, please." Bayley looked up into Dean's eyes, a genuine gaze. She couldn't stay mad at him for long. Dean realised her forgiveness, a wave of confidence overcoming him. He raised his hand, grabbing onto Bayley's cheek, turning her to look at him and leaned in kissing her. Bayley kissed back, holding Dean as they quickly kissed, wary of being in the corridor. Bayley pulled away first, Dean being a little more reluctant to.

They both caught their breaths, staring into each others eyes. "Will you be my girlfriend?" Dean quickly asked, all sorts of feelings inside. Confidence, excitement, nerves, but the giant adrenaline rush forced it out of him.

"Yes," Bayley whispered, locking her arms around his neck. He held her tightly, not wanting to let go of her again, as his match tonight made him realise Bayley was the one for him, and despite his need to be himself, he needed someone like Bayley to be by his side. "You know, I've got a match tonight, and it would be great if you could come with me?" Bayley smirked at her boyfriend, as Dean's dimples turned into a smile.

"I'd love to," he replied, pecking her lips once again, the same butterfly feeling in his tummy again as everything finally fell into place, on and off screen, and it was all thanks to one special woman, not that he had been searching before, just someone he was so grateful for.
