Wedding Day, June 7, 2013

I awake and he's gone. I see a note on the pillow. I have hardly woke up alone in the last few weeks. But tradition has it, he is not supposed to see me until I walk down the aisle. He is big on tradition and so am I.

Dear Wife-To-Be, I will be sequestered to the downstairs today until I see your beauty at the other end of the aisle. I have waited my entire life for you to be 4ever in my life. It will be just a few short hours and you will be my wife. God sent me an angel and that was you. You have brought me immense joy and I am looking forward to my lifetime filled with it evermore. You have my heart, mind, body and soul. I love you Gigi, you are the answer to my prayers. Today we will begin our lifetime journey.

I Love you,

Prince

P.S. Please don't cry. After last nite, my anticipation for the Honeymoon is even greater.

The weather is gorgeous. I am cloistered upstairs until the wedding. I called Cathy to come over to the apartment. She gleefully came running. I met her at the door. She was so ecstatic. I ate lunch with her and we talked, and talked. There came a knock on the door. She went to answer it. It was Kirk.He was delivering a package for me. That was good, I had one for him to return. Before he left he said, "I have never seen my brother so happy, Thanks Gigi for loving him as much as I do. He has been blessed. We will see you in a little while at the other end of the aisle." I started to well up.Kirk said, "Don't cry, be happy. This is the happiest day of your life." I thanked him and he took my gift back with him. I walked over to Cathy and said, "This is going to be hard to open." She said, "Why, dear?" I said, "Kirk stopped me from crying. I don't think you are going to be able to." I opened the box and it was a necklace made of pearls and an amethyst heart in the middle surrounded by diamonds. It was OK at this point but the card was next. I opened the card and it read:

My wife-to-be,

I am giving you this necklace on our wedding day as a symbol of my love. You are holding my heart and this is to remind you to bring it with you when we meet again. I love you.

I lost it

I lost it. Cathy was useless. She read it and cried too. She said, "That is beautiful. He loves you so much, Gigi. What did you send him?" I got it back together and said, "I had cuff links made of his symbol with diamonds in them to match our rings. I know how much he loves cuff links and thought he would love them. On one is the date: 9/23/84 and the other one has today's date 6/7/13." I said in my note to him:

Dearest Sweetheart,

I give you these cuff links as a token of my 4Ever love. One has the date we met and the other has today's date. When you put your arms around me, it will encompass the love it took all those years to come full circle. I love you today as always.

Cathy just burst out crying. She said,"G, both of these gifts are just beautifully given and represent your love for each other. I can only imagine how you both feel today." We both hugged and cried. I finally looked and it was time to start getting dressed. I took my shower and we headed over to get our hair and makeup done. The girls were ready to go. I had a box of  tissues in tow. They double teamed us and got us done and glitter everywhere. They glammed us up good. We went to wardrobe. I had them come help Cathy and I get dressed. They were so happy I included them for this task and they said they were honored to do it. They got Cathy dressed first and then me. I had all my jewelry and they helped me put it on. I had his ring.
