Chapter One Hundred Forty Six – Liam

Liam cannot help but laugh as he watches his slightly tipsy husband stumble up the hall towards their suite. They've just gotten back to the hotel from their nice romantic dinner where Zayn had drank three quarters of the wine himself. Liam doesn't mind though, he knows the younger man doesn't often get a chance to just let loose, so he happily let Zayn have more of the wine. "Quiet Love, the kids will all be sleeping" Liam warns as he pulls out the key card to unlock the door.

Zayn mumbles something completely incoherent as he slumps against the wall and Liam chuckles unlocking the door. To see Niall sprawled out on the couch in the living room, sipping a beer with the TV on low. 

"Hey how was dinner?" Niall asks, swinging himself to sit up as Zayn stumbles into the suite and Liam closes the door, shaking his head fondly at his tipsy husband.

"It was good" Liam grins, reaching out to steady Zayn when he sways slightly on his feet. "Thanks again for watching the kids, were they any trouble?" Liam asks as Zayn just gives in and leans against Liam's chest.

Niall chuckles, shaking his head, "nope the kids were great, everybody ate, and then we played and watched a movie before Bella helped me put Zack and Chloe to bed. Then Bella and I watched a little bit of another movie and I put her to bed too" Niall explains.

Liam grins and carefully settles Zayn into a chair, "that's great Ni, thanks" he hums, as Zayn slumps against the chair sleepily.

"Is he okay?" Niall asks quietly, gesturing to Zayn who is now mumbling something under his breath.

Liam grins as he nods his head "yeah, he just had a little too much wine with dinner" he chuckles. "I'm gonna get him some water and put him to bed" he adds.

Niall laughs and finishes his beer in one swig. "Okay. Glad you guys had a good night. I'm gonna go back to mine and call Josh before I go to sleep" Niall hums. "I love your kids but they are tiring" he chuckles, patting Liam's shoulder and heading towards the door. "See you in the morning boys" Niall adds before he disappears into the hall.

"I like him. He's good people" Zayn says suddenly, which makes Liam chuckle slightly.

"Yeah, Niall's great. Let's get you some water and go to bed yeah?" Liam hums reaching down to haul Zayn back to his feet, leading him towards their bedroom, grabbing a bottle of water as they pass the counter.

Zayn continues to mumble to himself and be absolutely no help as Liam attempts to settle him in bed. Zayn keeps sitting up as soon as Liam lays him down and Liam shakes his head, rolling his eyes fondly, pushing the younger man back down. "Zayn, Love. It's time to go to bed okay? The kids will all be up early, and you and I both really need to get some rest" Liam coos, climbing into the bed beside Zayn.

"Cuddle me" Zayn mumbles already half asleep as he pushes his way into Liam's arms. That's the last thing he says before Liam feels Zayn's breathing even out and he knows his husband is asleep.

"Daddy, why isn't Baba coming down to get breakfast with us?" Bella asks confused as she holds Zack's hand to head towards the elevator. Liam's carrying Chloe as she's still very tired, the twenty one month old still very much likes her sleep.

Liam grimaces and turns to eye their oldest as she leads her brother towards the elevator, Zack and Bella both being up just after six this morning. The truth is Zayn woke up with a massive hangover from all the wine the night before, and had no interest in eating breakfast, but Liam's not about to tell the five year old that. "Baba doesn't feel well this morning, so we're gonna let him rest for a bit while we eat and then I'm sure he'll feel much better" Liam explains.
