I'm so tired and worn out I don't think I can manage, but I still want to get out another oneshot because you all deserve two a day. I'm sorry in advance.

STORYTIME!

Virgil sat on the counter, swinging his legs and holding the hot mug of tea in his hands. He stared at the unsweetened light green liquid as the color darkrned every second he kept the bag in there. He can't sleep. He doesn't want to. He was the embodiment of Thomas's anxiety, why would he be one who could sleep soundly? Besides, he didn't want to face his nightmares again. It's better to just stay awake until he passes out in a dreamless slumber. That or not sleep at all. Virgil kept convincing himself that he was doing a good thing, he was doing the right thing, that there was nothing wrong with his thinking. If he doesn't sleep, no nightmares! Problem solved, right?

"Virgil? Why are you up so late? It's past midnight and everyone else has already retired to rest."

Virgil snapped out of his desperate thoughts to see Logan standing in the doorway. Was he loud? Did he wake him up? Logan was wearing a fuzzy blue robe that was askewed and not tied together with a belt. He was wearing an oversized periodic table shirt and some soft short shorts that looked like boxers. They had to be a women's article of clothing. He had his glasses on messy and his hair was absolutely horrendous. Roman would faint at the sight of Logan so dishelved. Virgil set his cup down and tried to pretend like he was okay. Pretend? No, he was okay! ...right?

"It's nothing, Lo, you should really go back to bed. Logic dictates you need your full hours of sleep and I don't want to burden you. You have to keep your sleep schedule you love so much."

Virgil tried to give him a reassuring smile, but he wasn't even sure his lips formed a smile. He just felt his cheeks move and make an expression. He didn't feel like he managed to smile, yet he hoped he had convinced Logan anyways. Virgil took his attention back to his cup of tea. He lifted it up and peered inside. Not green enough. He wants to taste bitter. Virgil hates bitter, so by drinking unsweetened green tea it will wake him up. It's to fool smart people like Logan that he's trying to sleep when in reality he would rather do anything but sleep. He was too scared to even Becca in his bed at night.

"Preposterous. You're more important to me than maintaining my sleep schedule. Uh, objectively. If there's anything you need to converse upon with me, I'm right here. Even if you need to spend the night with me, I will hold no objections."

Pause. Did Logan really just suggest that he snuggle with him? Virgil set down the cup of tea and stared at Logan. His face hadn't the slightest bit of pink. He had no embarassment nor didn't he have any shame from that statement like he normally wouldn't when anything remotely close to Romance be pointed in his direction. How tired was he? Virgil thought about it a moment. He'd feel really safe in Logan's Arms. Maybe if he had someone strong and smart to protect him, the nightmares could go away. Logan can prove to him that his fears are irrational and he can contradict the scary monsters in his mind. Virgil hadn't realized his cold and touch-starved he was. Virgil wants to cuddle. Maybe he should take Logan up on that offer... for once.

"You won't think I'm weak or judge me if I sleep with you in your room?"

Virgil watched Logan flinch, obviously surprised that Virgil would actually ask that sort of question. That reaction was not wat Virgil wanted. Virgil began to hug himself, feeling really cold. He really needed to be held and told everything Is okay. Logan always says the facts, so if he says it's all right then Virgil knows it really is all right. Logan fixed his glasses, a little bit more awake. He didn't wait on Virgil to redirects his gaze into his eyes to tell him the facts.

"Of course not. I could never describe you as weak nor would I find any negative cognitive profile on you for needing company in a time of need. Follow me after you get yourself dressed in more comfortable clothes. You should sleep in my room tonight."

Logan turned and went back upstairs to his room, probably to shift things around to be more appeasing to Virgil's needs. Virgil snapped his fingers, changing what he was wearing. He went from the standard outfit everybody knew and loved to a very oversized Pray for the Wicked shirt and his YouTube patterned boxers. Don't judge him. Who wears pants at night? Pants are for squares. Maybe that's why he's always so cold... Virgil shook it off and followed Logan upstairs. He walked into his room and saw his bed was extended from a large Twin to a Queen. More pillows were added and Logan was trying to set out the blankets perfectly like the perfectionist he was. Logan looked up and gave him a genuine, comforting smile.

"I hope this is satisfactory. Unlike Patton and Roman, people don't normally come to my room for comfort or for what you lot call 'snuggles'. If anything Is inadequate please inform me and I will change it. I need to go put away my glasses and do a few things. You should rest your eyes and try to bring yourself to sleep."

Virgil nodded, obeying Logan's passive orders. He got under all the blankets and closed his eyes. He didn't dare try to think of anything or craft a dream. He didn't want a nightmare. That's exactly why he didn't want to sleep in the first place. His fingers and his toes were freezing cold, but that was fine. His actual legs and torso were burning up so it evened out. After a few minutes, he felt the weight of the bed shift and the covers came off his body, making his entire self go cold. Then he felt two strong arms pull him backwards and close to a warm body and a calm heartbeat. Then he heard a hiss similar to what he would normally dish out at Roman. Logan must have brushed against his very cold feet. Virgil let out a soft laugh. That's when Virgil felt something warm on the side of his face. Warm, welcoming, and sweet.

"Pleasant Dreams, Virgil~. Now try your best to get a good night's rest."

Did Logan just kiss him goodnight? Virgil didn't dare move or turn around. He didn't dare squirm or make Logan uncomfortable at all. He just laid there with his eyes open, not bothering to shut them until his eyelids grew droopy. He finally closed his eyes and rested his head against Logan's chest. He heard the constant heart rate and let that be his lullaby. He put his toes in between Logan's legs so they'd stay warm and he curled his fingers around Logan's arms, which kept their warm embrace around his torso.

For the first time in forever, Virgil had a good Dream.

Hooray I actually did it after procrastinating for an entire hour. The early 2000s was the golden age of music. At least, it's the best in my opinion.

I'm so tired y'all I don't have much advice except that it's okay to be out of energy some days. Take breaks when you need them. Internet hugs and blow kisses!
