Seulki takes an impromptu trip with the maknae's

"Are we almost there?" Jimin whined from the backseat. Seulki rolled her eyes and opted to not give him an answer. He had asked the same question five minutes ago. Five minutes ago she had told them they were almost there. Jungkook snickered from the drivers seat.

Taehyung had gotten tired of Jimin's whining and was peacefully sleeping with his head leaned against the window. "You're gonna wake up Taehyung and he's not gonna be happy," Seulki muttered. Twenty minutes later, Jungkook turned into the driveway of the small cabin Seulki had rented out.

This was a totally impromptu trip for them. They were only able to stay for two days, but Seulki thought that even the two days away would be good for them. They had been working nonstop recently and a small break was always welcomed. "We're here!" Jimin said, exasperated. He practically jumped out of the backseat.

Taehyung grumbled as Jungkook shook him awake and Seulki stepped out, breathing in the mountain air. "I thought you said we were going camping?" He mumbled sleepily and Seulki hummed. "We are! Just an upgraded version. I didn't want to spend time setting up tents and stuff after driving five hours. It's glamping!"

Taehyung chuckled and helped get their bags out of the trunk. "This is really cute. Where'd you find it?" Jimin asked, admiring the small cabin in front of them. It was extravagant by any means, but Seulki didn't need it to be. She just wanted somewhere for them to sleep and eat.

The cute wooden structure sat surrounded by trees. The outside was nothing special, a small porch by the front door with a clearly worn bench sitting on it. Thankfully, it wasn't cold and the grass and leaves were in full bloom around them. "Online, where else? Let's go in."

The quartet made their way inside, Seulki smiling. "There's on bedroom with two beds," she said, remembering what she read online. The rest of the inside was plain and just like the outside. The floors and walls were all wooden and the same color of brown as the outside surrounding trees.

The living room had a small leather couch, a fur rug and a wooden coffee table. A small TV was aimed towards it and the space took up most of the one room cabin. There was a small fireplace in the corner and even though it was warm, Seulki wanted a fire.

The kitchen was smaller and only separated by the change of the floor. It was simple white tile, a sink, a gas stove and a larger dining table. "I'm surprised that this isn't more—"

"Bigger?" Seulki finished Jungkook's sentence and he smiled sheepishly at her. "I said we were camping, well, glamping. This is it. We're literally just going to sleep and eat here. But there's hiking trails and we can go fishing in the river. I think we can swim in it too."

Jimin wrapped his arm around her shoulders and nuzzled his head into her neck. "It sounds perfect." They quickly put their bags down and unloaded the food they had brought. "I say we go see the river," Taehyung mused, excited to be surrounded by nature. The others agreed and the four set out on the small trail leading towards the water.

"I'll catch us a big fish for dinner tonight," Jungkook was determined as he cast his fishing rod out. Seulki only chuckled as she observed from the river bank beside him. Leaning back on her hands, she breathed in again, feeling peaceful. It had been a long, stressful, hard few months and this is just what she needed to clear her head.

Jimin and Taehyung were currently looking in the shallow ends for tadpoles, she could faintly hear them laughing and joking with one another. "You alright?" Jungkook asked, sitting down next to her, fishing rod firmly in his hands. "I'm alright, just enjoying the peacefulness." Jungkook hummed and for a while the two sat there just staring out at the water.

"So, is this for us or for you?" He asked again. Seulki sighed. "Both, if I'm being honest. I figured we could all use a break but getting the other three had work and schedules and couldn't come."

"How are you?" She raised a brow at her friend. "I just told you I'm enjoying the peacefulness."

"That's not what I meant and you know it," Jungkook murmured. She sighed again, tying her hair up in a bun. "I'm not sure, Kookie. I'm not sad, but I'm not happy. Just sort of in the middle I guess. I've learned a lot of things over the past few weeks."

"Like?"

"Like I've been a pretty shitty friend. Not just to my friends outside of the group, but you all too. I've been too self-absorbed and I guess this is my way of apologizing and trying to change that."

Jungkook chuckled, reeling in his line and laying the rod down on the grass. "You don't have to take us camping to apologize, S. And besides, we all get a little self-absorbed sometimes." She laid her head on his shoulder, scooting closer. "I didn't take you camping to apologize. I really did want to just get away for a few days. It just works—semantics and all that." Jungkook let out a laugh and rested his cheek on top of her head.

"Well, I'm enjoying it already. But not for long." Seulki raised her head, about to ask what he meant by that when she heard Jimin scream and then a splash followed by Taehyung's loud laughter. She groaned and laid her head back on Jungkook's shoulder.

"There goes our peacefulness."
