I love writing books that give people a sense of excitement and fear. Being a thriller writer can be hard though. Getting the details right is difficult. I am always asked how I manage to write so well. It's because my husband helps me! Now that may seem innocent enough. But...the reason why I can make it sound so real, and have the murders feel scary in my stories, is because my husband is the New Orleans, Louisiana serial killer. He can describe in detail, that no one can, about how it feels to not get caught by the police and the thrill of almost getting caught. I can write about times my husband had to go on the run and explain exactly what it is like to avoid the authorities. Of course, I have to change the stories up a bit so it doesn't sound related to the actual murders in real life, but that just makes it more fun. Changing the details makes it feel like I'm trying to avoid getting caught. Now I know how my husband feels. I'm glad I have Alastor to help me with this thrill.
