Chapter LV: Yoshikage Kira, Like a Queen, Bites the Dust Part II

9: AM July 25, 1989

Josuke woke up, screaming.

Josuke: "Jotaro and Giorno are the only ones left, and the babies... Sonny is still trapped in the basement...
For some reason, it doesn't work on Time-Users like Jotaro and I. Shit... If this doesn't work this time... Passione wins..."

Jotaro, Josuke and Giorno stood alone.

Jotaro clenched his fists.

Jotaro: "That... bastard..."

Josuke thought about stabbing himself with the arrow.

Giorno: "This is you last chance, Josuke. If you die again...
We're all dead..."

Josuke looks at the arrow.

Jotaro: "Maybe I'll do i-..."

Josuke: "You've already been stabbed by the arrow twice. It'd be much worse if you stab yourself again, Jotaro. In every timeline, I've told you this."

Giorno sighs.

Giorno: "Muda muda daze...
This is our last chance."

Josuke stared at the arrow and clenched his fists.

Josuke: "I, Josuke Higashikata, have nothing left to lose... When I lost my mother, 7 years ago, not only was I heartbroken, but I was deeply hurt. I am disgusted by what that bastard did to every last bit of my family... He destroyed it, and I, Josuke Higashikata, will get back up and knock him back down!!!"

The star on the back of his neck glowed as Josuke clenched his fists.

Josuke stabbed his heard with the Diamond...

Giorno sighed.

Giorno: "Huh?"

Nothing happened.

Giorno: "Nothing happened."

That's right... Nothing happened.

Giorno: "Kira."

Still...

Nothing happened.

Josuke: "I know what you're going to say next!
'Shouldn't I have died! Unless...'"

Giorno sighed.

Giorno: "You've been chosen by the arrow...."

Josuke: "Oh man! Come on, man! Now... To bring everyone ba-..."

Jotaro: "No...
Josuke... We have to deal with him first before we bring everyone back.
Wait... Wouldn't bringing them all back mean Josuke would never have gotten this evolution?"

Giorno: "No.
Time doesn't work that way. It'd just split into branches of other timelines. The idea is to bring back each of them from that point in the timeline to here, after we've defeated Killer Queen."

Josuke: "Oh... Like what I just did..."

Giorno: "Yes..."
