Bleda was raging. He was less and less able to contain his wild anger, and in the rooms around the throne room fear became more and more prevalent among the slave peoples. When their king called them, they were afraid in advance, and they did not dare to raise their heads, lest Bleda's anger strike them.

It has been since that strange taltos arrived at the palace, and the caves beneath the castle are searched every day from dawn to dusk. Plenty of the dead have been brought up over the past eighteen months. Every day there was a servant or young monk who was lost in the deep caves where the fire of the torch did not burn.

If not the stranger , then their king forced them to their deaths, and ordered him to take two ropes with them. One had to be pulled and one was tied to their waist if they died the body could be pulled out.

There was a regular sound of quarrels from the throne room, as it is now. And at night the servants observed even stranger things. Sometimes either a bear or a wolf left the royal room. At first they thought they were dreaming. Then when they started talking to each other about it, they realized that all of them had seen it. When one of them asked the taltos about it, the next day he was dragged into a stake. No one dared to talk in the castle.

- You said you knew the way down !! Bleda almost screamed at Krall.

- Because that's the way it is. It is likely that the old taltos blocked the tunnels that provided air. I've heard of cave halls where they were planned a trip so that they couldn't breathe in some parts because they drowned who didn't know the way.

- I believe that. But we haven't gotten ahead in a month. Nothing. The number of the dead is growing. I have to punish people already. There are no volunteers. Word of what the servants needed was spread all over the country.

- That's not the only reason, Your Majesty. You know that too. You shouldn't go out at night . It could cost you your life.

Bleda wanted to speak, but she didn't. He couldn't stand it when Krall talked to him about it. There was a discussion between them almost every day about this.

" I don't want to be an emergency bird here again, but a full moon hasn't passed since they were shot, and until I took the arrow out of your feet, you couldn't change back."

- Don't even mention that night.

- If you're leaving, why do you have to change? The white people would accept it anyway, in this form.

" But I'm moving faster and getting to more places."

- Bled. This must have reached Attila's ear, and if they are given certainty, you cannot escape.

Bled's eyes flushed. Krall knew he felt alive again.

- You said Krall... You must have said this is the book. Gorda's book is kept here, and it contains a verb that makes it even stronger.

- Here it is. I'm sure only...

- Then find it. If you don't have enough servants, you go down yourself.

- If I die,...

" I'm less and less interested in Krall." Less and less. Bled's bloodshot eyes were almost on fire. It's been a week since his pain came out. His brain increasingly wanted change.

It doesn't matter which animal shape you took, bear or wolf. It was getting more and more painful that he wasn't in that shape. He hadn't told Krall about it yet.
