At seven o’clock in the morning, this modern city—New York started to wake up. The lady next door pushed the door open to fetch the milk. The couple upstairs kissed before heading downstairs in a rage. Thousands of voices gathered together in the city and but what Qi Le’an heard was only a word of five letters—” Sorry”.

Qi Le’an felt a little desperate for the moment.

“Le’an!” Wei Changfeng hurriedly said. “Listen to me. Last night, I met Director Spear… Director Spear has consented to me not having to follow him around!”

Now, Qi Le’an’s mind was filled with one thing only, that was, Wei Changfeng was leaving him for three years. Hence, he wouldn’t listen to any explanation.

Wei Changfeng put his hands on Qi Le’an’s shoulders and said, “Le’an!”

Qi Le’an couldn’t help wondering whether Wei Changfeng, such a serious person, would be slack in his learning about movie directing. The answer was no.

Wei Sama was leaving.

Qi Le’an was about to be driven crazy by this despairing thought. For an instant, he seemed to become the most pitiful one. He looked at Wei Changfeng in confusion until Wei Changfeng kissed him.

It was not a peck but a long and hot kiss.

After some time, Qi Le’an suddenly pushed Wei Changfeng away and bent down to gasp for breath.

For that moment, he seemed able to hear all kinds of sounds of the world. Dog barking, car sounds, footsteps… He could hear again.

Wei Changfeng stood there and looked at Qi Le’an worriedly.

“Wei Sama,” Qi Le’an muttered as if he finally came around.

Wei Changfeng poured him a glass of water, added some sugar powder to the water, mixed well, and gave it to Qi Le’an.

Qi Le’an raised his head and gulped the water down. It was then he finally felt alive again.

He sat on the sofa, still unable to breathe.

“Le’an,” Wei Changfeng called him again, “How do you feel?”

Qi Le’an nodded with a pale face and leaned back on the sofa.

Wei Changfeng held Qi Le’an’s hand, saying, “Alright, listen to me.”

“Last night, Director Spear took Professor John and me to their studio in New York. Because of the need for confidentiality, we were not allowed to bring the phones in there.”

Qi Le’an began to calm down and listen to Wei Changfeng.

“Originally, I wanted to reject this offer. Three years is too long for me. I can’t stand being away from you.”

Qi Le’an gripped Wei Changfeng’s hand and Wei Changfeng held him in his arms.

“But after learning about the project yesterday, I was shocked and hoped that I could be a part of it.”

Wei Changfeng seemed a bit hesitant. “I’ll leave out the details. On the whole, it is a great western fantasy story. The team is also the most professional. If I give up this opportunity, I probably won’t be able to reach a project of this type.”

Qi Le’an didn’t know the details, but from Wei Changfeng’s description, he knew that this was a rare opportunity.

But…

“But I still can’t follow Director Spear, so in the end, we had a deal that I would stay in the studio in New York for the whole filming task in the US… Director Spear also promised me that he would try his best not to let me follow up with the exterior scene.”
