Summary: Remy and Emile are new Dads, and they absolutely love any minute with their infant. It seems as though they won't be an infant for much longer though.

Baby name Brighton because it's the gay city in the UK - and it's gender neutral.

Remy would never get enough of the adorable sight he was blessed with everyday. That sight was his husband, Emile, carrying their little baby in his arms around the house. It was just so peaceful when he did it, singing a Disney song as the pair Remy loved so much walked from one activity to another.

"Hey Bree, how about we stack some blocks together?" Emile sat cross-legged on the floor beside the baby blocks Brighton loved to play with. But this time the baby looked more interested in reaching out towards Emile's cheeks. "Oh, you feel like sta... And those are my glasses."

Remy couldn't help but giggle as Emile managed to focus on the fuzzy blob of their little one with a half smile. Brighton was chewing the end of his father's glasses, this was their second favourite toy. It was still unbelievable these two men had the presence of their little mischief for an entire year now.

So of course Remy had to be a good father and abandon his office call, that was reaching an end anyway, to sit with Brighton and get his prying hands and teeth from Emile's visual equipment. "Alright Toni you can't play with that now." Remy chuckled and blew a raspberry in Brighton's cheek, taking the glasses out their hands while they were distracted. "Here you go babe."

"Thank you." It took a few attempts for Emile to actually grab the glasses but once he had them back on his face he went straight back into Dad mode and demonstrated the blocking stack game for the fourth time that week. But Remy couldn't bring himself away from his family right now - he cherished small moments like this.

Unfortunately Remy forgot he was married to a workaholic that had never missed a day of work even when Brighton was a newborn. "Aren't you on that call at the moment honey?"

"Camera's off, and I can listen in." Remy felt so smart using his Bluetooth earphones to step away from the laptop, even though Emile was playfully rolling his eyes. He couldn't help but lean over and kiss his husband's lips, and as soon as that happened Emile gave into his tough exterior and cuddle up to his lover. "Aww... You really do love me!"

Brighton was focused on balancing a block on their tower, trying to reach to the top but failing a few times. "Is it weird I kind of miss the newborn stage?" Remy mumbled, spotting his husband's curly brown hair in their baby and wanting a dozen more Emile clones under his wing.

"I don't miss the sleepless nights." Emile said back, yawning since he had stayed up late the night previously to do his own adult job. As he spoke his hands wondered to Remy's knee and held it, stroking the trouser leg with his thumb. It was like Emile could read his husband's mind. "Give it another year honey."

Remy was completely distracted just staring at Emile. Listening to his coos as he congratulated Brighton, paying attention to the dimples that revealed when he smiled. Remy was the luckiest man in the world to have Emile as his husband - and he'd won the lottery in order to share a child with him. He could stay in this moment forever with Emile under his arm. His whole life was full of amazement that he had this.

"Can you get me coffee Mr Sass?" Emile's head suddenly turned to Remy, giving an order that of course Remy would follow without hesitation because he's a simp. Remy stood and wondered into the kitchen, hanging up from the office call now it had ended. Making coffee for his husband transported him back to his college days when his love for the nerd was just a crush. Emile loved a very particular mix of caffeine, milk, sugar and cocoa.

Since Remy was so distracted making his husband's coffee he didn't have his eyes on Brighton. Emile did though, he was trying to sing another Disney song but getting the words mixed up. All was peaceful until a soft gasp silenced the practicing singer.

"Everything alright Cupcake Machine?" Remy shouted into the living room once he recognised the silence. Usually silence was bad for Emile as he internalised a lot of things. The father was only reassured when he entered the living room again with the coffee - and saw Brighton taking a few delicate steps from the sofa to Remy's legs. The cup of coffee was quickly placed on the table and Brighton was in their dad's embrace. "Oh my God Toni look at how smart you are! They're on the move already Em! Please, please, please can we adopt another newborn right now I feel so old!"

Emile chuckled and stood up from the floor, retrieving his cup of coffee before placing a hand caressing his husband's arm. Their eyes met and it was just like when they first fell in love, their glances were irresistible to each other and the silence could only be stopped by a soft kiss. Remy knelt down and initiated the kiss, smiling like a goofball once it was over and making Emile smile in return. That was until Brighton got a hold of his glasses again.

Brighton was giving Remy the same adoring look Emile gave him everyday, as they triumphantly ate their way through their other dad's glasses. Soon Brighton will be chatting away, and then came potty training, then kindergarten and elementary school and middle school and high school and maybe even college. It was impossible to see how Emile didn't want a repeat of the newborn stage - although those nights were horrendous.

Although he wouldn't admit it, Emile loved watching Remy be a father too. From what Emile could tell with the blurry vision, Remy went to the high chair and starting cutting up a banana to give their baby a little reward snack. Quiet moments of absolute cuteness would be harder with two kids, even if Remy was adorable as a Dad, and he became even more adorable when Emile was handed back his glasses and could see the family moment fully. Emile felt at home sitting between his husband and baby, grabbing onto Remy's spare arm as if he needed it to live - and watching the little family he had and maybe, just maybe, expanding it soon.
