New Technology

Simon's POV

Announcer: "Welcome to the beta program of our new software boys. It is an absolute pleasure meeting you all."

I looked around and noticed it was just us SideMen so I don't know why we had to come at different times and keep it a secret.

Josh: "You know half of us live together. You didn't have to call us all individually? We could have just organise to do shit on our own."

Announcer: "Today I needed to make sure that you guys could handle being on your own and able to get to a location on your own."

JJ: "Why? Why would we need to do shit on our own when we live together?"

Announcer: "Now my name is Henry. I'm the lead director of this project and I'm so happy you boys were able to test it out for us."

Vik: "Well I mean we love the game Dead By Daylight so when we heard the chance to record a video in a different surrounding we jumped at the chance."

Harry: "That's what that was for? Mate I was promised FIFA."

Toni: "Yeah same here what gives?"

Henry: "Now if you gentlemen could come with me. I'll tell you a little about the company. For the past three years we have been extensively and tiring lay working towards multiplayer capabilities over the Internet through virtual reality and we have almost perfected it."

Ethan: "How the fuck did you manage that?"

Henry: "Through hard work and determination, we were able to achieve those goals. And we thought it would be great to request Youtube's biggest Gaming group to test out the functions. For this experiment we will have you all hooked up to our new virtual reality system and it we can boot it up to get started."

I was getting worried as we walked. It was a nice looking building but so far everyone around us just looked depressed. One person even started to cry and look away. The man in front of us though, Henry, just kept smiling. He didn't seem real.

Henry: "Here we are. Inside this room you will find Seven virtual reality headsets as well as controllers that you will need to pick up. Once you have all done so we shall begin the experiment and beta program for our new device."

Simon: "What's the devices called?"

Henry: "If you could all take a moment to see the devices in front of you. Any questions you have will be answered immediately."

The doors opened... Seemingly on their own as we walked into the room. It was completely blue and it was rather awkward. We all walked over to the seven devices while the man stood in front of us. We were in a crescent position around him. Making it look formal.

Henry: "Now if you could please put on your devices. The game will begin soon."

I watched Josh about to speak up until Henry vanished in front of us. Kind of like he was a hologram. But he soon returned with a. Large smile on his face.

Simon: "This is weird. He's pre recorded."

JJ: "What makes you say that?"

Simon: "He hasn't answered us directly and he can't reply to us when asked a direct question. It's obvious. And a little creepy."

The man gestured for us to put on the devices . I wasn't too crash hot on the idea but it could be worse. I watched Vik chuck them on like a pro. Being the one SideMen to have done enough Virtual reality videos to know what he was doing. The rest of us picked up the device and threw it on. It was weird playing around with it without there being wires everywhere but we could hear Vik in awe.
