Chapter 122: The Next Day

Its already the first day of 2021 where I am, so this is the first chapter for the year! 🎉

Happy New Year to everyone! 2020 has been a one-of-a-kind year for most people. Now that I look back, there has been a lot of fears and pain but there have also been positives. I think we all deserve a pat on the back for getting through 2020. There's to wishing that 2021 will be better for everyone!

A relatively light-hearted chapter on some of the events immediately after Baeksang and a side story on the RL gown. lol, I didn't expect the gown to feature so much in the story when I started writing but it turned out this way and it felt right to give it a 'proper ending' 😉 I hope you enjoy it! The next morning

Ye-Jin let out a wide yawn. She stretched and lazily rotated her shoulder blades and waist to work out the kinks. She was aching all over.

Her lips, though, curved into a coy smile as she recalled the reason for her aching body. Last night had been so satisfying, it was worth it.

She turned to look at the source of her aches and her smile softened. He was still sound asleep. She gently brushed aside a stray lock of hair that fell over his eyes. He looked so boyish when asleep, her love.

Wide awake now, Ye-Jin looked around her. They were back in their bedroom. Her last memory was cuddling up with Hyun Bin on the sofa after they made love last night. He must have carried her in after she fell asleep.

Ye-Jin lifted the blanket and peeked underneath it. She blushed despite herself. They were both au natural. He had obviously been too tired last night to do anything more than give their bodies a quick wipe.

Ye-Jin turned back and continued to admire the gorgeous man sleeping next to her. Her head was pillowed on his right arm and his left arm rested on her waist with his hand cupping her bum. His right leg was nestled between her legs while her feet rested against his larger ones.

Despite the cool air from the air-conditioner, she was warm and toasty inside out. His body heat warmed her externally and his desire, even in sleep, to keep her close warmed her internally. She knew she was loved and cherished.

Ye-Jin planted a lingering kiss on Hyun Bin's lips and proceeded to slowly extract herself from his embrace. He had a rare off day today and she wanted him to catch up on his sleep. She tucked the blanket around him and quietly slipped into the bathroom. She needed a long and hot shower.

The Wild Speculations

Thirty minutes later, Ye-Jin walked out of the bathroom with a bounce in her step. She was feeling refreshed. The hot shower had gone a long way to relieve her body ache. A cup of coffee was all she needed to complete a perfect start to the day.

Ye-Jin walked past the living room on her way to the kitchen and her cheeks turned a rosy hue of pink. The clothes they had worn to Baeksang were still strewn all over the living area from last night.

She picked up Hyun Bin's pants and the label caught her attention. Her eyes widened, it was also Ralph Lauren! She recalled Gong Hyo Jin's cryptic Ralph Lauren comment yesterday and everything now made sense.

Ye-Jin sat on the sofa and she lovingly folded the pants. Her heart swelled with love for the man who had worn them.

Given how last minute Hyun Bin had confirmed his attendance, Ye-Jin had initially thought it was sweet of him to still try to match to her colors. Whilst sweet, it was still a fairly common occurrence. Onscreen partners frequently coordinate their colors during events.
