Chapter 135: Jordan Side Stories (Part 1)

Happy mid-week! I hope everyone is having a good week. Apologies that this chapter look a little longer than expected. lol, I got distracted by all the "activities" the last few days. The liking spree is so so sweet ❤💕 ma kes me feel like writing about the current events 😂🤣

As mentioned, this is the first part of all the side events that happened while HB was in Jordan... there will be another chapter and we'll move on to his return to Korea 😀

Story 1: Peaches 🍑🍑🍑

Jordan, Amman, Hyun Bin's hotel room

There was a tense silence in the room. Dong Wan was on the phone, his fingers drumming lightly against the table. He had been placed on hold.

Today was D-day. They had taken their last covid swab last night and were waiting for the results.

Hyun Bin stood up when Dong Wan started speaking.

"Yes, I'm still here," Dong Wan said. He listened attentively, nodded his head and replied, "That's correct, Kim Tae-Pyung and Im Dong Wan." After a second, Dong Wan broke into a wide smile.

The results were negative. They were free.

Thirty minutes later, Hyun Bin and Dong Wan took their first steps out of their respective rooms.

They both took a deep breath, held it in for a moment before exhaling simultaneously. Their actions were so synchronized it was almost comical. They both grinned, they had never realized how fresh the air in the hotel hallway was. (A/N: ?!?) This was the smell of freedom!

Dong Wan turned to Hyun Bin and asked, "What do you want to do, Hyung? Shall we go have a meal or take a walk around the streets first?"

Hyun Bin's smile widened and he replied, "Neither. We're going grocery shopping." Without waiting for Dong Wan, he turned and walked jauntily towards the lift lobby.

Dong Wan paused - grocery shopping? What did Hyung need so urgently from the supermarket for it to be their first stop? They couldn't cook in the hotel room so it couldn't be fresh produce. They had tons of drinks and snacks from Korea. They certainly didn't need toiletries. What did he need?

Dong Wan shook his head and ran to catch up with Hyun Bin. Hyung really loved grocery shopping. He already got caught once with Nuna in LA. Maybe it'll be his turn today. Dong Wan smirked, imagining the headlines - "Hyun Bin and Im Dong Wan grocery shopping in Amman". That was funny, albeit in a somewhat weird way.

Fifteen minutes later, Hyun Bin and Dong Wan strolled into the supermarket in the shopping mall next to their hotel.

Hyun Bin grabbed a shopping cart, took a moment to read the signs and confidently turned towards the furthest left aisle.

Dong Wan threw Hyun Bin a puzzled look. It looked like Hyung did have a specific shopping list in mind.

Hyun Bin stopped at the fruit section. His eyes lit up and he made a beeline for the peaches.

Dong Wan frowned. Peaches? He didn't even know that Hyung liked peaches. When was the last time he saw him eat a peach? Maybe a year ago, that too on a fruit tart? Why would he suddenly crave peaches?
