Chapter 81: CLOY - Filming Continues (Part 5)

Author's Note: We're halfway through the week! Hope everyone has been having a good week 💕 Going back to CLOY filming for this chapter. I particularly like this episode... lol, probably because from this point on, Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok will be together. Hope you enjoy the chapter! Christmas is probably up next! 😊

Scene 1: Se-ri kidnapped by Jeong-hyeok's father (Episode 9)

Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin were seated next to Director Lee in the editing room. They were in today to do the voice over for some of the scenes which were pulled together via edits. They were now reviewing the results. They had filmed most of these scenes separately and it was their first time watching each other's scenes.

Just then, Director Lee's phone rang and he indicated for Hyun Bin and Ye-Jim to continue while he stepped out to answer the call.

*Playback of edited scene*

Se-ri was silently despairing and her eyes red with unshed tears. She knew she had to calm down and think. 'I must pull myself together and think. Think, whatever it is. Yes, I should think happy thoughts. Something that makes me happy.' Se-ri closed her eyes as tears welled in her eyes.

Ri Jeong-hyeok, who was preparing Guk-su noodles. (The scene of Jeong-hyeok preparing guk-su in the kitchen when she first arrived at his house flashes across)

Ri Jeong-hyeok, who didn't know the difference between candles and scented candles (The scene where Se-ri nearly smashes the flower pot on Jeong-hyeok's head flashes across)

Ri Jeong-hyeok, who now knows the difference (the scene where Jeong-hyeok lit the scented candle in the marketplace to search for the lost Se-ri flashes across)

Ri Jeong-Hyeok, who covers me with a blanket on his way to get himself a glass of water. (The scene where Jeong-hyeok tucks the blanket around Se-ri and turns up the heater for her flashes across)

A large tear slides down Se-ri's cheeks.

Ri Jeong-hyeok, who always lies and says that he is fine even when everything is going astray. (Scenes of the many occasions when Jeong-hyeok says I'm fine flashes across - when he assures her on the train to Pyongyang that he will be fine even after Se-ri disappears in Europe, when he says he fine after taking some medicine, when he's fine after stepping on the land mine, etc)

Does he think he's like the Avengers? He always says that he can do anything and find me no matter where I am. Ri Jeong-hyeok, who likes to bullshit and bluff.

I miss you.

Tears were now flowing freely down Se-ri's face.

The scene had been beautifully put together. Tears welled in Ye-Jin's eyes as she watched the playback. She recalled the emotions she felt during this scene. She had been reminded of how similar Jeong-hyeok and Hyun Bin were when she was doing the voice recording.

Hyun Bin, who prepared Naengguk for her when she had no appetite.

Hyun Bin, who previously thought of all flowers as just flowers.

Hyun Bin, who now recognized and even knew the exact names of the flowers she loves.

Hyun Bin, who would always sleep with his arms around her, instinctively wanting to make sure she's safely beside him even in sleep.

A tear escaped down Ye-Jin's cheek.

Hyun Bin, he doesn't lie but like Jeong-hyeok, he's always taking care and planning for her. Hyun Bin, who loves her more than he loves himself.
