Chapter 74: CLOY - TvN Interview

Flashback to two days ago - Lunch near TvN building

Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin were in TvN's office to view the first two episodes of the drama. The post-production work had been completed and the team wanted to gather feedback. They were both pleased with the results. This was like watching their baby grow up. They, along with many others, have poured months of effort into this drama and they were now starting to see the final product.

Ye-Jin was starving and they decided to have lunch nearby before going back to the set for tonight's filming. Hyun Bin, Ye-Jin, Manager Kim and Dong Wan walked into a Korean restaurant near TvN's office. It was towards the end of lunch time and most of the lunch crowd had cleared out. This was a popular family restaurant and frequently visited by celebrities when they had schedules in TvN's office. The owners were an elderly couple who were used to seeing celebrities. Apart from a friendly hug and praises of how compatible they looked, they were basically left alone to enjoy their lunch.

They ordered rib stew, stir-fry eggplant, potato pancake and a couple of other dishes. As usual, no one moved when the food arrived. Actually, Hyun Bin did move. He lined up the dishes neatly in the center so that Ye-Jin could take her photo easily.

Manager Kim silently shook his head. If he needed proof of Hyun Bin's devotion to Ye-Jin, this was it. He personally could not understand why Ye-Jin needed to take photos of everything she ate. He could understand if they were in a foreign country or eating something unique. This was a family restaurant selling Korean food - food they have been eating all their lives! Hyun Bin, however, indulges in her every whim. He doesn't just tolerate her habit, he's even helping her set up for the picture. This man is off the deep end.

Ye-Jin smiled, happy with her picture and they tucked into the meal. It was her first time here and the food was delicious, she particularly liked the stir fry eggplant.

"Ye-Jin, Bin, the TvN promotion interview is going to be filmed the day after tomorrow." Manager Kim reminded them. "This will be your first public interaction in a while. You'll need to take note of your behavior."

Ye-Jin nodded. She had been thinking about it. "I think it's best if we behave like our natural selves. If we try to control our behavior too much, I'm afraid we will come off as stiff. I think our interaction during The Negotiation's promotions was good, we should maintain at that level? This is a romantic drama anyway, it will be odder if we feel distant."

Hyun Bin agreed, "I agree. Its not a live event anyway, we can do edits if we think its unsuitable. Let's use this as a test."

Hyun Bin smiled as he watched Ye-Jin eat. One of the (many) things he liked about her was how she would eat with gusto. In all honesty, it was impossible for actresses to maintain their figure without managing food intake. Ye-Jin was unfortunately not one of those lucky people who could eat without putting on weight. She didn't let that stop herself from enjoying food. She loved food too much. Instead, she ate in moderation and with appreciation for the food. She also relied on her pilates regime to balance the calories. Looking at the blissful look on her face when she's eating was enough to fill him up.

Dong Wan coughed, "Hyung, just make sure you don't do this when filming the promotion interview."

Hyun Bin looked at Dong Wan, a puzzled look on his face. "Do what?" he asked.

Dong Wan wanted to roll his eyes and Manager Kim had to bite back his laughter. Dong Wan replied patiently, "You've been staring at Nuna for the last two minutes, without blinking your eyes and with this weird smile on your face. People will think you are a pervert if they didn't know its you."

Manager Kim choked on the water he was sipping and had a coughing fit. Ye-Jin sent Dong Wan a frown and a small shake of her head to ask him to stop and quickly started patting her manager on his back. Sometimes she wondered if Dong Wan was intentionally aggravating Hyun Bin.
