As the saying goes, time stops for no man. Even as Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin prayed for time to slow down, it mercilessly flew by, faster than ever.

They were now just three days, a mere 72 hours away from Hyun Bin's impending departure.

The Golf Date

Ye-Jin sighed softly to herself as she walked towards Hyun Bin. His back was facing her as he leaned inside the car boot to arrange their golfing gear. This was one more thing she was going to miss, his broad shoulders.

She whimsically held her thumb and pointer finger up and measured out the width of his shoulders. It was funny how he could fit between her fingers like this... she wished she could pick him up and keep him with her.

Ye-Jin sighed again, exasperated with herself. Her mind has been extremely uncooperative the past few days. She was making a conscious effort to hold back these negative thoughts but her mind was working against her. It was only interested in picking up all the things she was going to miss about Hyun Bin. His soothing baritone voice, the way he gently stroke her hair, how she use his arm as her pillow when sleeping, his habit of using his thumb to rub her hands and now even his broad back.

Ye-Jin sighed yet again. For once, she was grateful they needed to wear a mask, at least it hid her forlorn expression.

Done with arranging the golfing gear and their backpacks, Hyun Bin stepped back and tap on the car boot closure sensor. He turned around and smiled when he saw Ye-Jin walking towards him.

She was a decked out in typical golf attire, a grey skorts and white long sleeve top. Her hair was tied up in a simple ponytail and a white mask covered most of her face, leaving only her eyes visible. She was beautiful, his Ye-Jin.

Ye-Jin collected herself and picked up pace when she saw Hyun Bin turn around. Their eyes met. Ye-Jin smiled and her eyes slightly crinkled up, the way they always do when she smiled. Hyun Bin's smile, however, faltered.

Despite Ye-Jin's best efforts, her eyes couldn't lie, not to him. Her lips may be curved into a smile underneath her mask but there was a lingering melancholy in her usually sparkling eyes. It was foreign and Hyun Bin saw immediately. He knew the reason for Ye-Jin's sadness and felt as if a knife had been pushed through his heart. It was now his turn. He let out a soft sigh as he waited for Ye-Jin to reach him.

Ye-Jin shook off her despondency. They still have 72 hours. She was going to make the most of their remaining time left. Moping and feeling sorry for herself was nothing but wasting the little time they have left. Ye-Jin took a deep breath, her smile widened and her steps lightened. She's going to enjoy today.

And so to Ye-Jin's surprise, she found herself enveloped in Hyun Bin's arms the moment she reached him. He tucked her head under his chin and his large hands pressed her tightly against him. They stood in silence as they savored the feeling of being in each other's arms.
