Author's Notes: Happy Mid-week everyone! I saw a lot of comments on the proposal and I'm really glad people enjoyed it 😊 lol, I hope we do get good news from them in the real world but  for now, our imagination is the next best alternative I guess.

I was going to actually write around some of the changes they observe in their relationship but there was a comment around how people around them reacted and I thought it would be fun to do that. These two chapters will resolve around the reaction and changes they see. I hope you enjoy it as well!

Again, thanks for following the story and all your comments and votes. I don't reply individually but I'm definitely reading and I appreciate the feedback. Also, apologies that updates have recently been slower!  Unfortunately been more busy recently, leaving lesser time to pen this (but I still love writing this)

Have a great week ahead everyone!

Does life really change after two individuals commit themselves to be together? Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin realized after a while it was hard to give a definitive yes or no. There were some aspects of their lives which remained largely unchanged but there were other aspects which changed drastically. They were both in uncharted waters. They were excited about embarking on this new journey together but yet also slightly cautious as they didn't really know what to expect.

That Night after the Proposal

After the emotional roller coaster and euphoria of the proposal, Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin spent most of the night wrapped in each other's arms as they excitedly and lovingly discussed their future plans.

This was perhaps one of the most immediate change they both noticed. While they would discuss and consider the other's perspective before making any decisions, despite how close their relationship had grown, they never really talked about longer term plans. Topics like what kind of wedding she would like, where they would live, how many children they would like to have, what do they plan to do if not acting, they somehow never spoke on such topics.

Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin lay on the bed, her head resting on his arm as she admired her engagement ring. She couldn't stop smiling, she really loved the ring, it was beautiful, because it was from him.

Hyun Bin smiled softly as he watched her. She was beautiful. He suddenly realized they have so much to talk about. "Eon-Jin," he started, "have you considered when you like to have the wedding?"

Ye-Jin laughed as she turned her head to face Hyun Bin, "Honestly, I feel so light-headed, I would probably go ahead with a wedding now if you ask me."

Hyun Bin laughed at her candid confession, "I miscalculated then, I should have proposed in the presence of a wedding solemnizer and we would be done now."

Ye-Jin smiled but she turned somewhat pensive as she considered his question seriously. She slipped her arms around his waist and softly said, "Will you be angry if I asked to wait for a while longer?"

Hyun Bin heard the hesitation and conflict in her voice. He smiled and replied her, "Of course not. I've told you before, I only want to support you to achieve even more. I never want to hold you back. This is my promise to you." He continued wryly after a second, "But let's not wait too long as well."

Ye-Jin felt as if her heart was bursting. She was constantly amazed by his capacity to love her. No matter what her request was, he seemed to have the propensity to absorb and accommodate. She nodded, of course they shouldn't wait too long. It wasn't that she didn't want to get married. She was actually sincere when she said that she would marry him now - that was how much she loved him. But she was torn between that and her desire to achieve more in her professional arena. Whilst it was possible to achieve them while being married, the reality was being married would likely distract and slow down her plans professionally. Also, she wanted to be equally if not more committed to her family once she's married and she's not sure if she was ready to lower the gears from a career perspective.
