Author's Note: I hope everyone is having a good weekend! The second chapter on the week preceding CLOY wrap up party. I'm sure everyone can guess what comes after this. 😉

Jealous Hyun Bin appears briefly in the second chapter... lol, still not jealous enough in my opinion but it'll do for now. I watched Ye-Jin's movie with Jung Woo-Sung and I must say, he has a new fan in me. lol, I still like Hyun Bin better but the guy's a close second 🤣

Thanks for all your votes and comments. They are much appreciated! I hope you enjoy the light-hearted chapter!

The Mothers

Last but not least, Mrs Kim and Mrs Son descended on Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin.

To be fair, both mothers had been patiently waiting for the last two months for them to finish filming. They were keen to finalize the engagement details and get it done. They had started some of the preparatory work like viewing hanbok designs, gifts for the families and preparing their households but they couldn't decide on the key things like actual dates, locations or even make any selections on clothing, style, colors, etc. Now that filming for their drama has concluded, it was time.

Day 4, Morning, 8am

Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin were sound asleep. They had stayed up late last night binge watching movies and went to bed only around 3am. The blackout curtains were drawn and the room was shrouded in pitch black darkness. The silence was punctured only by the rhythmic sounds of their breathing.

Ye-Jin was lying on her side, her head pillowed by Hyun Bin's arm and face buried against his chest. Hyun Bin's chin was resting on the top of her head and his other arm draped around her waist. Their legs were entwined around each other.

Hyun Bin's arm was going to be numb when they eventually woke up. It was a pain but he was already used to it. The first few times he woke up with a dead arm, they had tried to change their sleeping position. But for some strange reason, it didn't matter how they slept, they would somehow always wake up in this position.

Hyun Bin's arm was going to be saved from total numbness this morning. By who? Their mothers.

At precisely 8.05am, both Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin's phones rang. They frowned in their sleep and moved closer together, trying to block out the interruption. The phones stopped as the calls were redirected to voicemail.

Within a minute, both phones rang again. This time, Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin groaned and simultaneously tapped each other. "It's your phone," they both mumbled at the same time. "No, it's yours." They groaned loudly and reached out their hands for their phones. They both forced open an eye to look at caller ID. Almost comically, their eyes widened and they both sat upright. They quickly answered their phones.

"Omma?" They both called out. They turned to look at each other in puzzlement. They both sighed silently, finally realizing that both their mothers were calling them, at the same time.

Day 4, Morning, 9am

An hour later, Hyun Bin and Ye-Jin were back sitting at their dining table. The only difference from the last couple of days was the guests. They were with their mothers today.

"I'm so glad the two of you were together." Mrs Kim beamed. "We thought we would have to pick you from your own apartments. That saved some time and we'll need all the time we can get today!" Mrs Son, who stood next to Mrs Kim, nodded in agreement.

Ye-Jin was staring at her mother, still in a state of confusion. She couldn't understand why her mother was in Seoul, much less appearing in Hyun Bin's apartment together with Mrs Kim. She finally asked, "Omma, did I forget that you were coming to Seoul?"
