Shawn was called back to Coruscant unexpectedly by Palpatine, as the star destined went through hyperspace he feared Palpatine would probably punish him for destroying whatever he'd found. Malgus said "in regards to your question as to how the Sith Lord came to be that question will be revealed soon" Shawn noted it and the ship exited hyperspace just then.

Imperial Palace,Emperor's Throne Room
Shawn walked in and sat in the six chairs in front of Palpatine were six military officers, Palpatine said "if you'll excuse me gentlemen" one replied "of course my lord" then the officers stood up and walked out. Shawn waited until they were all gone and said "you summoned me my lord" attempting to sound genuine yet subtly mock at the same time, Palpatine rose and walked over and said "why did you destroy the device?".

Shawn's heart sank and he said "well-I uh" Palpatine said "well what spit it out" impatience present in his tone, "I sensed a cloud of the force controlled by someone powerful manipulating the Russian president and it almost lead to war" Palpatine looked intrigued and said "I'm impressed your connection to the force must be more powerful than I sensed" then he walked past him and said "walk with me".

Shawn followed Palpatine through five halls until reaching the large balcony with the pillars which he'd lifted when he first began his training which they walked around. "Allow me to tell a little tale that I've never told anyone not even to Lord Vader" Shawn said "what is this story my lord" Palpatine said "a little story about my master the Sith Lord Darth Plagueis" Shawn was curious and Palpatine began,

"Plagueis was a dark lord of the Sith so powerful his own master saw his potential and when Plagueis orchestrated the death of his master his spirit latched onto Plagueis in a similar way to which Malgus has now latched onto you then used his power of foresight to predict the Clone Wars..unfortunately he died with Plagueis when he was killed in his sleep by an assassin who never caught" Shawn was intrigued but knew it was most likely a trick to get him to fully embrace the dark side and said "is this power common?" He asked and Palpatine said "no it's not only a few have the power of foresight fewer know how to utilize it" Shawn asked "is there a way to see the past?" Palpatine said "there isn't".

Shawn sensed that there was something he wasn't being told and said "is there anywhere where something like that could be studied?" Palpatine said "well there might be some records at the Jedi temple but don't read their lies" Shawn detected harsh prejudice in his tone yet said "thank you my lord" then turned around and walked through the halls to the hanger and got in the Strings and flew towards the Jedi temple.

He walked through the halls of the temple which bore the scars of laser bolts and some areas smashed when Starkiller had paid his two visits, then he sensed the sadness that hung in the air and concentrated on it. Suddenly the area became dark and blue laser bolts flew past him, he turned around and saw in person a clone trooper kill a Jedi who dropped her lightsaber, Shawn was confused as to what he how he was seeing then turned around again and there was a Jedi charging at him lightsaber raised. He put his hands up but the blade went right through him but it didn't seem like an illusion it seemed as if he was seeing into the past. He heard the clash of lightsabers behind him and saw a young man wielding a blue lightsaber cutting down several Jedi while choking one with his hand without the force.
The man then put his hood back over his head then walked past him, Shawn realized he'd just seen into the past specifically the Great Jedi Purge, but the vision had sapped his strength so much he passed out.
