Gettysburg Bunker, June 28th 2016

Johnson typically spent her days signing orders or reading reports now. Congress had only convened once so far in a provisional chamber in the bunker to keep the country running. Yet with several Senators having been out of Washington when the city was evacuated this caused a slight uneven number in the chamber, causing Sharpson to cast his tie-breaking vote over small things several times in just eight hours. Yet today Johnson was expecting news from her unlikely ally on his progress on the eastern front. An aide walked in holding an official envelope, "ma'am, President Riosovskys letter" the aide said setting it front of her while Hammond and Kathy walked in too. "Thank you Grace" Johnson said calmly and the aide walked out while shutting the door behind her. Johnson then opened the letter.

From The Office of The President Of the Russian Federation
His Serene Excellency
Viktor Antonovich Riosovsky
June 27th, 2016

Your Excellency, I am pleased to inform you of our successes in repelling the Imperial invaders at Murmansk earlier this month. Moscow was briefly hit from orbit yet received little damage, the people are in good spirits as are the troops. I trust that Your Excellency will be able to say the same for your own people and troops, the whole of the world must stand together and not let petty wars of the past conflict with this united effort to prevent our possible enslavement. Rather our people's enslavement, if caught then either of us will be surely executed.

This foolish Emperor Palpatine has made a brutal mistake in invading Russia, had he studied our history he would know that we will draw out this war into the winter, then launch a surprise counteroffensive. As was done at Moscow twice against Napoleon and Hitler. The mistake invading your country is the will and determination of your citizens to never relinquish their freedom to an alien tyranny. I wish you and your daughter good health Evelyn and know this, if we are to be allies we must be willing to have more open dialogue. Godspeed, Madam President.

Sincerely, V. Riosovsky

To: Her Excellency, Evelyn Johnson
President Of The United States Of America

Johnson read the letter carefully, she knew that Riosovsky had a way of tricking people into submitting to him. But she was not one of his people nor an ordinary woman, regardless she was glad to hear it was not going terrible for him. Yet she couldn't help but wonder what he meant by "open dialogue". "Well, he didn't call me a bitch thankfully" Johnson joked and Kathy chuckled a little. "But he did say 'open dialogue', any ideas what he means by that Robert?" She asked Hammond while handing the paper to him. "Hm, hard to say, but it wouldn't be unlikely if he was trying to tell you something, I think he's trying to say we're hiding something from him and that it'd be better if he knew about it too".
