Leon kicks the soldier behind me just as I duck down, I land a punch on another just as a knife grazes my shoulder, tearing through my jacket and the skin behind.

I hiss out in pain, gritting my teeth as Leon turns around looking pissed, instantly he grabs hold of the soldiers neck and snaps it, panting as he looks at the bodies on the floor.

"Nice work," I huff with a smile, breathing heavily from the action, "looks like the clean up crew will be busy."

Leon runs a hand through his hair, giving me a reluctant smile, his eyes suddenly narrow as he sees the blood seeping through my jacket. I look down, now the adrenaline is wearing off it's beginning to hurt and looks worse than I originally thought.

"Let me see," Leon sternly says as I hold my hand against the wound, I shake my head, refusing to take my jacket off, "I need to patch it up." Leon adds without any room for question.

Blood seeps through my fingers, my legs begin to shake and I begin to feel lightheaded. "Whoa..." I mumble as my world tilts, Leon catches me and wraps an arm around my waist, half dragging me out of the corridor and into a nearby lounge.

"We can do this later, didn't you learn the first time that nowhere is safe in an Umbrella lab?" I argue, frowning as Leon sets me down on a sofa. I sit despite my reluctance, too weak to argue much more.

"Yeah, but I'm not losing you just because you're shy." Leon murmurs as he reaches for my jacket, I take a deep breath as he slips it off of my shoulders, revealing my shoulder wound as well as the numerous scars on my arms from years ago.

Leon glances at them, his brows knit together as I silently panic, but surprisingly he doesn't comment, he doesn't even look at them again, already he's reaching into his bag and pulling out the first aid kit.

"Aren't you gonna ask? Everyone usually does." I whisper as Leon kneels between my legs on the floor, gently bandaging my wound.

He looks up at me with his hair covering his eyes, "Do you wanna talk about it?" He deeply asks, making my heart flutter even more.

I hesitate, then shake my head. As much as the scars remind me of my survival and resilience against the world, they also remind me of terrible times which were hell for me. I don't want to relive that.

"Alright," Leon nods, there's absolutely no judgement or bad feelings in his tone, it's like he's already completely accepted me as I am and understands me. My shoulders slump, somehow I trust him even more after this.

He finishes wrapping up my injury then passes me something small in a wrapper. I take it with a raised eyebrow, earning a chuckle from Leon. "It's chocolate, just so you don't pass out."

I smile and eat it, watching as Leon packs up the supplies and holds out my jacket for me. I stand and slip my arms through, feeling much more comfortable again. Afterwards he holds out a hand for me to take.

"Ready to go home?"

"Yeah," I murmur taking his warm hand in mine, "Let's go."
