Unexpected friends 🌿 Sharon/Steve

Imagine: Steve and Sharon have a kid and while Steve is out, the baby cries all the time, so instead of being a bitch towards Sharon, you help her out.

'I want to marry Sharon...'

'Good for you...' you reply nonchalant as you flip the page of your magazine.

'I'm serious...'

'Okay...' you again flip a page.

Steve huffs, he wasn't expecting this reaction. He was expecting you to object, or at least tell him that you're not on board.

Things between you and Sharon haven't been easy to say the least. From both sides there's anger and some jealousy, harsh words.

'That's all I get?, there's no "you shouldn't" or anything?'

'Why would there be?' You shrug.

'Because you don't like her...and you kind of said you would kill me if I would ever marry her..'

'I'm kind of hurt that it took you this long to tell me but...Steve, if she makes you happy... and if you love her... I ain't stopping you...'

'Really?'

'But don't come running back to me when things don't go the way you hoped...'

'There it is...' he chuckles.

'No, I was joking... but in all seriousness.. if she's everything you need, if she's the love of your life.. you should go for it...' you smile at him.

You hate Sharon with every bone in your body, but Steve's happiness is worth more to you than to deny him the love he deserves. You have to admit that Sharon is kind and loving to him. She's a good person, just not to you.

You saw Sharon more regular after the wedding, she was your sister in law now after all. That didn't stop her from snarling at you though. For Steve's sake you bit your tongue at moments like that.

Even Bucky noticed that his wife was more quiet to Sharon than before the wedding. You tried being nice to her. But you two just didn't click. Sometimes that's just the way it works.

Then Sharon got pregnant within the first months, just like you got pregnant within the first few months of marrying Bucky.

You got as far as giving birth and enjoying the newborn for a few months before losing the baby due to hydra wanting your little boy. You had some experience raising a baby, and Sharon was desperate for some help.

'And what are you doing up so late doll?' Bucky asks over the phone.

'Can't sleep... I'm feeling nauseous and restless...' you sigh.

'You've been having that a lot lately haven't you?'

'Yeah...I think I'm going to med bay tomorrow to get it checked out...how's the mission?'

'Boring as always.. the only thing interesting is you on the phone right now...' he sighs and you chuckle. 'And here I am thinking I would miss out on anything...'
