And like.. Who knew that Scolex was an actual word?

I heard it in Biology class today, and thought I'd fallen asleep.

But it was in the textbook staring right back at me.

Who knew?

Mitch woke up, instantly looking to Scott who was smiling down at him. "Morning, Sweetheart." Scott's low morning voice rumbled.

Avi rolled over, "morning."

Mitch blinked once, and then became a giggling mess.

Scott glared at Avi. "You know I wasn't talking to you, yes?"

Avi smiled. "Yes. I just like to see you squirm."

Mitch continued giggling and both Scott and Avi stared at him fondly.

Suddenly Mitch jumped out of bed. "Breakfast! Who's hungry?"

Avi slowly stood from the bed. "Was that a rhetorical question..?"

Mitch laughed again and then skipped out of the room to make breakfast for all of them.

Scott stood up and stretched his arms above his head, a few cracking sounds heard in the process.

Avi patted Scott's bare back. "Thanks for cuddling, Rookie." He winked.

Scott rolled his eyes and smiled. "Whatever, babe."

"I love you, babe." Avi said, a glint of sarcasm in his eyes.

"I love you too, babe."

"Want me to go grab a condom, babe?"

"You're making me sick, babe."

Avi barked out a laugh and turned to follow Mitch.

Scott caught his arm. "Hey. In all seriousness.. I know it's tough without Kirstin. But it's almost been a week. She'll be back soon. You can always come talk to me. If Mitch makes you feel better.. Fills the void or whatever.. Go ahead. I'm working on being okay with that stuff.. Just.. Nothing overly sexual. Okay?"

Avi smiled. "You've really grown up, Rookie."

He turned and starting walking.

Scott called back, "thanks, babe."

He heard Avi's laugh all the way down the hall.

Scott came down the hall after he used the bathroom, and instantly noticed that he couldn't hear Mitch in the kitchen.

Mitch already had three plates set out, but neither he nor The Alpha were anywhere to be seen.

Scott peeked into the kitchen and the living room, and then frowned when he saw the front door wide open.

Walking towards the door, Scott noticed that there was snow all over the ground.

Scott became worried. "Mitchell?!"

Scott took a deep breath, and knew Mitch was outside.

He rushed to the door and leaned outside.
