"Why're they staring at us?" I asked Draco quietly as we got stared at by the other five members of the team who were on couches opposite each other while I turned my head to him, just as we were shouted over

"I'm not sure"

"I feel like we're going to die" I murmured as we walked over, laughing as he was dragged down by Flint who started muttering to him instantly, throwing me a side glance with an amused look. Feeling both of my hands get grabbed, I was hauled down in between both Adrian and Miles as Adrian kept ahold of my hand before dropping two light purple tablets into it with a grin as I looked between them

"And what the fuck are these?"

"Take a guess"

"Drugs?" I asked stupidly as I looked at them and their grins grew while they both let out a laugh

"You're kidding?"

"Nope!"

"Great guess by the way"

"And this is what you lot are high on right now, is it?" I asked with my eyebrows raised as they nodded and I looked to the others, all sitting with dazed but amused looks on their faces while I looked to Draco who sat with the same two tablets in his hand before he leant forward and dropped them onto the table, looking up and shaking his head at me as I went to do the same, getting dragged back by Miles

"Hold up just a second"

"I can't-"

"Amelia, we guarantee that it will make you forget all the shitty stuff that's been happening. For awhile anyway. It'll make it seem like you're having a normal year, alright?" Adrian asked quietly as I looked at the two again, a small, yellow 'u' clearly visible as I looked back up to them again

"Amelia, you're surely not thinking about-"

"It stands for upgrade. That's what they're called"

"Well?-"

"Amelia?!" Looking up I watched as Nathan came into the common room as I gave another quick glance to the two tablets in my hand before quickly popping them in my mouth, the two dissolving instantly as a slightly acidic taste filled my mouth and I looked up, Draco staring at me appalled while I was clapped on the back

"Are you kidding me Amelia?"

"They don't have any effect whatsoever. They're crap" I told Draco laughing after having swallowed as I gave him a grin and he stared at me with slightly wide eyes

"Do you know how many witches have ended up-?" the rest of his sentence having not reached my ears I cradled my stomach in pain as I let out a groan, getting hauled up to my feet as the room started to spin and I stared about confused, barely seeing Nathan in front of me as I stared at him, seeing double

"Hello-"

"Did you give her one of those fucking pills?!"

"Why does it matter?-"

"Open your mouth Amelia" sticking my tongue out at Nathan I started laughing as he held my head still and I looked at my tongue which was dyed purple

"Why the fuck did you take one?!"

"Because it's fun" I mumbled to him with a smile as I sat down and pulled him down next to me as I hugged him tightly with a laugh and a quiet mumble as I looked about with a numb feeling growing, tilting my head up to look at him he eyed me warily as I smiled at him

"Hello"

"You shouldn't have of taken them"

"Oops. Too late now"

"Why did you take them?"

"Because it seemed like a good idea"

"Amelia, these things have killed witches"

"All the more reason to take them!-"

"Amelia!"

"Fuck, I said that out loud" I muttered quietly as I looked away and smiled at Draco who continued to stare at me as Nathan turned and stared at the rest of them

"You lot absolutely fucking sicken me"

"Oh shut the fuck up Nathan" I muttered before pushing myself up as I walked numbly towards the table at the back of the common room as I grabbed myself a bottle of butter beer and dropped down into a cold leather armchair.
