"What happened to your head?"

"I'm dumb. That's the easiest explanation I can give" I muttered to Tristan quietly in the library as he stood there, having stopped flicking through the book he had as he tried not to laugh

"Oh"

"'Oh' indeed. Anyway, why is it you wanted to meet me here?"

"I was just wanting a chat. I just feel like we haven't spoken in ages"

"We haven't really, have we? And it's nearly the end of the month too"

"Exactly"

"Well how are classes then?"

"Shit like usual. What about yours?"

"Honestly?"

"Yes"

"Just as shite" I told him with a shrug as we glanced at each other and tried to muffle our laughter before leaving a little while later, wandering out towards the courtyard. Turning around after he paused I looked at him curiously as he stood with a sour look on his face

"You alright?"

"Splendid"

"What's up?"

"Potter" he muttered as I turned my head around and looked about, scanning between the small groups of various students from the three schools until I eventually spotted him sitting on a bench by himself, chin propped in his hand as he stared ahead of him and I turned to Tristan and raised my eyebrows

"What?"

"Really?"

"Hey, let me be annoyed. It's not my fault his name came out of the goblet-"

"It's not his either-"

"It must be. It's got to be"

"And how's that?"

"Well..... it was him"

"What was him?"

"He put his own name in the goblet"

"He couldn't of"

"And how not?"

"Because it's not possible for someone under seventeen to-"

"But you did" staring at each other quietly I watched him raise his eyebrows at me as I pursed my lips ever so slightly

"That's not the point-"

"Oh but it is-"

"No, Tristan. Because the difference between me and Harry is that he didn't enter his name into the competition, the only reason I did was to prove that I could. And no offence to the boy but quite frankly I know more advanced magic than he does" I explained to Tristan, my arms crossed as he sighed slightly before looking back to me, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips as he waved me off and turned to leave as I turned and walked in the direction of where Harry was sitting as I took the space on the bench next to him, watching as he glanced over to me and I looked out to the lake where I just managed to make out the giant squid swimming below the surface

"I don't want this"

"Huh?"

"This. The competition. I don't-"

"I know"

"I don't want to be apart of it"

"I figured"

"I don't even know how my name got in the goblet"

"I don't either"

"I'm not trying to take this away from Cedric"

"I know" I replied quietly, turning my head and giving him a smile as he looked at me confused

"You're smiling?"

"I am. Is it that much of a surprise?"

"No-no it's not what I meant it's just that you're-"

"I know. I was joking, Harry. Relax a bit"

"I'm trying to"

"I really don't think you are" I said to him quietly as he glanced back to me and smiled slightly at the amused look on my face as I heard my name being shouted from behind as we both turned, watching Nadia jog into the courtyard as I jumped to my feet and hauled him up beside me

"Well that was a nice little sit down- carry our conversation on elsewhere?" I asked, not waiting for a response as I kept ahold of his arm and dragged him off and away from Nadia.
