"I haven't seen you in awhile"

"I know" I murmured as I stared at the ground, sitting on one of the stone benches out in the court yard as I glanced at my jumper, it hanging off of me painfully as I gripped the cuffs of my sleeves tightly and the seat next to me was taken

"It's like you've been avoiding me, Lia"

"I know"

"You haven't, have you?" Cedric asked quietly as I shrugged, not lifting my head to meet his gaze

"Is everything alright?"

"Sure"

"That's not an honest answer"

"You don't know that"

"Yes I do, Amelia. Are you ok?" He asked as he tried to turn my head towards him as I jerked away, hiding my flinch as I clamped my eyes shut momentarily

"What was that all about?"

"Just drop it"

"What? No. You don't look well Amelia-"

"As if you care"

"Of course I do, I always have. What's wrong? You're acting like-"

"Get off of me" I told him with pursed lips as I shrugged his arm off me

"Lia?-"

"Can you not?"

"What do you mean? You're not even looking at me-"

"Just leave me alone-"

"Amelia, no-"

"Diggory! Just fucking clear off!" I said to him loudly as I finally turned my head and stared at him with a glare as he stared at me and I pushed myself up with shaking hands as I walked off as he grabbed my arm and I tried to yank it away as I was swivelled around to him and he stared at me

"What's this all about?"

"What do you mean? Get off me"

"No, not until you tell me what's going on"

"Nothing is going on-"

"Why are you lying to me, Lia? What're you keeping from me? Why are you always covered in bruises?"

"Bloody hell it's from quidditch, now get off me"

"It can't have of been quidditch, you've not been going to practices-"

"Yes I have-" I argued back as he cut me off with a look and I continued to stare back at him

"No you haven't. Adrian came up to me and brought it up to me. What's going on? Let me help-"

"I don't need your help! Don't you understand?! I'm completely fine" I told him as my voice got louder as I drew my arm back and walked away, getting pulled back again but this time into a hug as he wrapped his arms around me tightly and my head leant against his chest as I felt tears fill my eyes

"No you're not, you're not fine, please don't lie-"

"I'm not lying-"

"Yes you are Amelia. Please tell me what's been happening, we don't shout at each other. What can I do?"

"Stay away from me"

"What? No, I'm not going to do that, I'm not going to-"

"Yes you are, just leave me alone-"

"Amelia I'm not-"

"Just do it, okay?! Leave me alone! Just stay away!" I said to him loudly as I pushed myself back, distancing myself from him as he stared at me, a look of hurt on his face as my heart clenched and my vision became blurred as I tried to blink my tears away

"Why? Why do you want me to do that Lia? Please talk to me"

"I don't want to talk to you! I want you to stay away from me! I want you to back off and I want you out of my life!" I shouted at him as his cheeks turned pink and I felt the tears start to run down my face as I looked at the pained look on his face and his eyes glazed over as I whipped around, almost running in the opposite direction with my hand over my mouth.
