My world was crumbling down, I felt myself spiralling towards a black hole. Ville was gone. I felt Benjamin holding me back in bed, I was going to fall, feeling dizzy. "I shouldn't have said anything to you now, you need to rest."

"What do you mean, he disappeared?"

"Easy, Eve. Here, drink some water."

"I don't want it, just tell me what you know!" Benjamin looked at Charlie, and I started sobbing. I squeezed his arm to make him look at me again. "Please, tell me. Just say it."

He hesitated, but he probably saw my desperation. I was already waiting for the worst news. "Seppo said Ville went out from the venue everyone else was yesterday, but without his cellphone, and he didn't gave any news. Seppo didn't want to speak to me, I asked him details, he said he would only talk to you. This was on the way here yesterday, he didn't call later."

"I need to call him, then."

"Calm down, Eve."

"Please, could you take Charlie to a walk outside? I'm probably freaking her out." I tried reaching for my cellphone, Benjamin gave it to me. "I will, but... You shouldn't do this now. Are you sure you can be by yourself?" I nodded. Of course I wasn't, I was holding my cry not to sob out loud in front of Charlie. "Please, I need to know what's going on."

"Charlie, let's find out why they didn't bring any food to your mom."

"I'm watching the telly." Charlie had the same accent as Ville sometimes, and that was enough to make my heart ache.

"Charlie, can you do this for mom? I am starving."

She smiled, as she loved to help me, but her smile quickly faded away when she saw my face. I tried smiling at her, I hated to be in shambles in front of her, and that was happening so frequently lately. Benjamin looked at me worried, but he took Charlie outside so I could call Seppo. My hands were so shaky, I could barely press the right buttons.

"Eve?"

"Seppo, just tell me what's going on."

I wasn't sure if Seppo had understood my speech, as I was trying not to sob and he took a while to reply. "Hey, Eve. Take it easy, how are you? Your friend said you hit your head badly."

"I am fine. What happened? Where's Ville? Just tell me!"

"Look, dear. Just hear me out, okay?" Seppo had a tone he never used, he was careful. That worried me to my last strand of hair. "We really don't know exactly where he is. I spoke to him at night, he left the venue yesterday in a hurry, without his coat, his cellphone, his backpack, everything."

So many things occurred to me. He left with Ruby, not intending to return. He left me, and Charlie behind. It was like I didn't knew Ville at all. I wouldn't find any excuses for him, in my mind, he would never do that to me, but that change after yesterday. I didn't really know Ville, he was capable of anything, apparently.

"Eve? Are you there? Look, the boys are returning to Helsinki, Mige and Lee are going to see you. Everyone is worried about you, we all know something serious is going on."

"Seppo, did Ville left with Ruby?"

"No. Eve, no! Actually, that is the problem. Uh, hear me out. You saw her here, right? Turns out she disappeared, and left her nephew alone, with Ville. He got out desperately, trying to find her, that woman is insane, she just abandoned the boy. That's why he was so desperate when he left, he didn't say a word to anyone, he left all his things behind, hoping to find her."

I asked Seppo to repeat. That was too much to take in. Ruby was gone, that boy was her nephew, and Ville was now after her, alone with that boy. I didn't hear Seppo's last words, my head spinned and I held myself onto the bed. This was too much, I felt like everything was an endless nightmare, although the pain was so real.
