"Hey there, beautiful" You greet Nora as she sits down across from you.
"Hey... Y/N. I didn't think you were going to be at work today" She smiled.
"I didn't either - I kinda had to pull a last minute shift to help clear my head" Yous explained to the young girl.
"From what ?" Nora takes a few sip from the coffee she bought.
"Oh, urm, family stuff" You cleared your throat.
The lying was starting to become second nature by now.
Nora couldn't know you're the daughter of Supergirl.
"Sound's rough" Nora clicked her tongue and you fell into silence.
"No, it isn't anything like that. I was, um, at my mothers wedding" You assure her.
It wasn't a complete lie, you had initially been attending Lena and Kara's wedding but some super family stuff came up.
"Nora, sweetie, tap onto your watch" Iris spoke over coms.
"How was the wedding ?" She bite down on her lip, ignoring her mother's voice.
"Are yous seriously ignoring me because you want to flirt with her ?" Iris seethed.
"I guess that it was alright. I likes the girl who my mum married" You reply.
"The girl ?" She seem's to be confused by your words.
"My mum kinda bats for both team" You shrug as Nora smiled.
She starts to bounce her leg upward and downward nervously.
"Everything okay ?" You rested one hand on her shoulder.
"Um, I am supposed to be meeting somes people her for the first time and I've got the jitters" Nora admitted.
She finally snapped out of her dazes and pressed the button on her watch.
"Cool watch, Nor. What does it do ? Scan for metas ?" You teased her.
"How did you know ?" Nora closes it and you smirk at her.
"It's not really difficult to figure out" You shrugged as you walked away from her.
"Youre a mystery to me" Her smile faded when she realized she had to face Iris.
"For the love of super speed" Nora had a strange way of cussing, it make's you fall more in love every time you hear it.
