30 | Honeymoon

Seokhoon and Rona were busy packing for their honeymoon, after many decisions they decided they would be going for a 14 day honeymoon trip. They had informed their mothers what some sights or places they wanted to visit while in Greece, and left the tiny details to them to plan. Luckily, they were going to Greece at the end of May, which meant that the weather would be nice and sunny. Their flight was booked and all their accommodations were settled beforehand, so Seokhoon and Rona could rest easy and fly off to Greece.

Athens, Greece

The flight duration was about 9 hours plus, when they had arrived they were picked up by the hotel they would be staying at. The first stop of their honeymoon would be the capital of Greece, they were picked up by the hotel. They would be spending about 3 days in Athens before moving off to their next location. Upon arriving at their hotel, they were welcomed with drinks and a short tour of the hotel. Their first accommodation was The Margi Hotel in Athens, they were absolutely stunned by the panoramic views of the Aegean Sea and Athens Riviera. The suite that was booked by their mothers was the VIP Suite of the hotel.

It was a really big suite for the two of them. It came with a spacious living room with an impressive dining table, a fireplace, a Jacuzzi overlooking the forest, a deluxe walk-in closet, a luxurious marble bathroom and Venetian mirrors. Don't you think Omma may have booked a suite that was a bit too large for us?

Looks like it, but we should be used to it. Omma's style is to go a bit overboard. Guess with this much space we can really feel the warm summer air and enjoy ourselves. Seokhoon kissed Rona on the forehead, they thanked the hotel staff and unpacked their luggage. They only had 3 days in Athens, so Seokhoon had already researched what sights and food they ought to try while they were here. They went to wash up and change their clothes before heading out. It was about 3pm in the afternoon, the summer sun was still high up in the sky.

Seokhoon and Rona changed into their summer outfits before heading out. Their first stop was to get some coffee and cake at a cafe named Zonars Athens near the Syntagma square.* It was one of the most historic teahouses in Athens. After they have their refreshments, they explore the various shopping and food streets near the area. Due to all the Greek myths and stories there was something rather magical about Greece that Rona was really interested in. The food, the architecture and even the shopping was all so exciting and new to then. As they were walking around the city, they decided to try some finger foods like at Fresko Yogurt Bar.

*Syntagma Square is the central square of Athens.

They continued walking until the sun started to set, after which they decided to head back to the hotel to rest for the night. Both of them were starting to feel tired from all the travelling they had done today. They decided to dine in one of the hotel's restaurants. By the time they had finished dinner, both of them were exhausted. They decided to just sleep early to combat their jetlag and also start the day fresh tomorrow.

Note: It is honestly difficult to think of an itinerary especially since I have never gone to Greece but I hope I did it justice.
