Athens, Greece

The next day, Seokhoon and Rona got up bright and early. Luckily, jetlag was not hitting them as hard compared to when they were back in Seoul. They had a filling breakfast at the hotel and set out to explore Athens. Their first stop of the day was the most iconic landmark in all of Greece - the sacred rock of the Acropolis. In order to avoid the large crowds that would gather at Acropolis, they set out bright and early.

When Rona saw the majestic ancient citadel, she was blown away by the sheer size of it. Somehow in pictures the citadel had looked smaller. As Seokhoon and Rona approached closer to the citadel, it was truly amazing. Seokhoon-ah, look at this. It is really amazing. Just think how they were able to construct this with no modern tools.

It must have taken many years to build this.

Yeah and the fact that it is still standing is also a feat. After they had explored the citadel and other sights they headed to the world famous Acropolis Museum. The museum is widely regarded as one of the best museums in the world and a must visit for anyone who was visiting Athens. The Acropolis Museum is an archaeological museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens. It houses some of the most important treasures that were from Ancient Greece.

One of the most iconic pieces were all the Greek statues and sculptures that had been excavated from different archaeological sites around Greece. Rona really loved history and so visiting the museum was definitely something she had to do. The museum was really large and had an extensive collection, Seokhoon and Rona spent most of the afternoon at the museum. As the afternoon passed, they headed onto their next stop. In order to best explore and enjoy the food of Greece, Seokhoon and Rona decided to sign up for the Athens Gourmet Food Tour. It was a 4 hour gourmet walking tour of Athens with a private tour leader.

Rona and Seokhoon had much fun tasting all the different kinds of food that Greece had to offer. They were taken to visit specialty food stores to try local produce, including wine and organic olive oil. The tour guide also gave a culinary history of the city. Seokhoon and Rona really enjoyed themselves, as it was just the two of them, the tour was really catered to their needs. 

Despite how much food they ate during their food tour, with all the walking that they did in the four hours. Seokhoon and Rona were not that full by the end of it. When they had finished the tour the sun had set. They eventually headed back to their hotel and spent the rest of the night in each other's company. They did not do much in the evening as tomorrow they would be transitioning from Athens to Santorini. They would have lunch in Athens before flying to Santorini.

Next day

The next day, the couple spent most of the morning packing up their luggage. They were going to head out for brunch before they headed to the airport. Seokhoon took Rona to Fuga, it was a restaurant that was set within the lash gardens of Athens Concert Hall. With the weather being all bright and windy, it was the perfect weather to be eating outdoors. Rona loved how as they were having their meals they were surrounded by the sights and sounds of people going by, birds chirping. You know, if one day I could choose a dream location to retire to. I think I would love to retire somewhere where I am surrounded by nature.

Hahah, that suits you.

What about you yebo?

Hmmm, I never thought of it. I guess nature sounds good but I would like to not be too remote.

Near a city?

Yeah but well as long as it's the two of us. I would love to be in a remote cabin with you.

What would we be doing all day?

I can think of something. Right there, Rona knew what Seokhoon was implying. She kicked him under the table and pouted. Seokhoon laughed at her reaction, he took her hand in his and kissed her palm up. Always, Rona. Always. They had a wonderful final meal before heading back to the hotel to check out. The hotel took them to the airport where they boarded their flight.

Note: Oh gosh my writing is sooo boring. I am so sorry, its so narrative right? Sigh hopefully this improves..
