one day, Kwazii and Calico Jack were studying some fish for Shellington, Calico Jack looked at Kwazii who seemed to be hiding something....

 Calico Jack and Kwazii were studying some fish for Shellington. They were wearing jet packs that allowed them to fly above the water and observe the fish from a safe distance. They were especially interested in a rare species of flying fish that could soar above the water for long distances. They wanted to learn more about their behavior and physiology.

Calico Jack looked at Kwazii, who seemed to be hiding something. He noticed that Kwazii was holding a small locket in his hand. He wondered what was inside it and why Kwazii was hiding it from him. He decided to ask him about it.

"Kwazii, what's that you're holding?" Calico Jack asked, curiously.

"Uh, nothing, grandpa. Just a trinket, that's all," Kwazii said, quickly.

He put the locket back in his pocket and pretended to focus on the fish. He hoped that his grandfather would drop the subject.

He didn't want to tell him the truth about the locket. He didn't want to tell him that it was a gift from his first love, a cat named Kiki. He didn't want to tell him that they had met when he was a young pirate, before he joined the octonauts. He didn't want to tell him that they had fallen in love and planned to run away together, but that they had been separated by a storm and never saw each other again.

He didn't want to tell him that he still loved Kiki, and that he missed her terribly.

He didn't want to tell him that he kept the locket as a reminder of their love, and that he opened it every night to see her picture and hear her voice.

He didn't want to tell him that he was still hoping to find her someday, and that he was still searching for clues about her whereabouts.

He didn't want to tell him any of that, because he was afraid of what his grandfather would think of him. He was afraid that his grandfather would judge him or pity him or scold him. He was afraid that his grandfather would not understand him or support him or love him.

He was afraid of losing his grandfather's respect and trust and affection.

He loved his grandfather more than anything in the world, but he also loved Kiki more than anything in the world.

He was torn between his past and his present, between his love and his duty, between his heart and his mind.

He didn't know what to do or say or feel.

He was confused and conflicted.

He was hiding something from his grandfather, and he hated himself for it.

Suddenly some seagulls flew around them, and knocked into them as if they were trying to catch them, Calico Jack noticed that there Octo-Jetpacks were breaking, and they were about to fall, one Seagull flew at kwazii at High speeds, and knocked him out, Both cats started to fall.

Calico Jack and Kwazii were attacked by a flock of hungry seagulls that mistook them for prey. The seagulls flew around them and knocked into them, trying to catch them. Calico Jack noticed that their octo-jetpacks were breaking, and that they were about to fall. He tried to avoid the seagulls and fly away, but it was too late. One seagull flew at Kwazii at high speed, and hit him hard. Kwazii was knocked out by the impact, and dropped his locket. Both cats started to fall.

Calico Jack saw Kwazii fall and panicked. He knew he had to save him, or he would drown. He flew towards him and grabbed him by the arms. He tried to activate his octo-jetpack, but it was damaged and malfunctioning. He couldn't fly anymore.
