*Late Fall 1979*
(Y/N) is getting decorations for the upcoming holiday season. Andy is doing some final vocal recordings for his new album, After Dark.
(Y/N)'s POV:
Andy is currently out at the studio doing some final touches to his album, After Dark. While he is out, I decided to go buy some new Christmas decorations. Christmas is my favorite holiday out of all them.
Since we are now in a new house, our previous stash of Christmas items isn't big enough.
I decided to go to Macy's and JcPenny's for some classic Christmas items.
I found a beautiful glass angel for our new spruce fake Christmas tree I found. I also bought 3 boxes of blue and silver ornaments, ribbon for the tree, and so much wall decor.
I found some cute window clings for our front windows and glass window storm door. Did I mention outside porch lights as well?
My car was jam-packed by the time I got home. Thank goodness, Andy was already home by the time I got there.
"Looks like someone's been a busy elf," Andy said smirking looking in my car trunk.
"Ha, very funny darling. It's our first year at this house, everything needs to be perfect!" I said grabbing one of the boxes of ornaments.
"I can see you have jobs planned for me too. I see some new porch lights," Andy said bringing in a box.
"Well yeah duh love. We have to make our house look like a winter wonderland," I said as I put more bags down.
"It's going to be a beautiful winter extravaganza darling," Andy said pulling out the new box of ribbon.
"How soon do you want to decorate?" I asked him with a puppy dog look.
"Love, Thanksgiving was just two days ago. But I mean, if you wanna decorate now, its fine love," Andy said throwing tinsel at me.
"That makes it the best part though love. Christmas up for more than a month is my goal," I said smirking.
"Yes my busy little elf. Have I told you that I love you?" Andy said gazing into my eyes.
"Hmmm. I don't know if you have darling, but I can assure you I love you most," I told him.
I remembered at the store I had bought some plastic misletole and went into my bags for it.
I grabbed it and hid it behind my back.
"Uh em, love," I said giving him that secret look.
Andy looked up very confused.
"Darling, you got me again," he said laughing while leaning in for a kiss.
"Hey, its my first kiss under the mistletoe love so I wanted to be with you sheesh," I said in a sarcastic tone.
"Fine love, I see how it is," Andy responded pretending to cry.
"Oh stop it love," I said peppering his face with kisses.
"There, much better," Andy said with a laugh.
"Cause we need a little Christmas right this very minute!" I sang rustling through some bags.
"You make life a musical darling. It's so cute," Andy said laughing.
"Cause that makes life a jingle bell rock!" I said sticking my tongue at him.
Andy went and put some Christmas records on.
As I unboxed the tree, I had to pull out the vacuum to get the fake spruce pieces off the floor.
I started inserting the hooks into the ornaments as Andy put the tree together.
"Isn't it beautiful darling? It's almost real looking," Andy said.
"Start stringing the lights love so we can have the tree done before dinner," I said handing him the lights.
"To the first Christmas in our house," Andy said kissing me.
