When I was in fourth grade, a boy I thought was cute put a note in my locker saying "your hot. will you go out with me?" And from then on we were "dating." He was nice most of that year, but at the beginning of fifth grade, he told me he'd never liked me, and he and his friend tackled me to the ground at recess. Those two boys and one other one would, throughout the next to years, have fun telling people I was gross, and would try to trip me in the hallways or stick their arm out against the wall so I would run into it. Meanwhile, another boy who'd said he liked me that I accidentally tripped into once told people I'd tried to "hump" him.

In middle school there were a couple boys and a couple girls who liked to humiliate me consistently. They'd insult me, and I'd turn bright red and try to make a comeback, but I was very, very bad at those and they would always laugh. That mostly stopped during the eighth grade.

In high school I had an emotionally and then physically abusive friendship/love affair kind of thing with a guy. It caused me to be suicidal for a while, but after a while I cut off communication from him and things are 10x better. Now there is one douche who complains very verbally if he's ever put in a group with me for a project, but after everything else it really doesn't bother me at all.

ADVICE: God, you're so much better than you think. Just remember that
